Coaching
I received my coaching training from the Coaches Training Institute (CTI). As a coach, I assume that you, “the coachee”, have the most useful and relevant information about your life and your process. As such, I do not consider myself an expert about you. What I do offer is an expertise to assist you in deepening your learning and reaching your goals, which will ultimately lead you to experience a more fulfilling life.
Coaching differs from consulting in several important ways. In consulting, I provide solutions or recommendations. As a consultant, I tap into my expertise to assist with designing interventions or seeking resolution. In coaching, however, my expertise lies more in my ability to ask questions and act as a source of accountability. Our coaching relationship is therefore structured on a peer-based model.
My niche in coaching is with nonprofit professionals. Coaching can be conducted over the phone or in person. In all my coaching work, whether it be in person or over the phone, the first session is always in person. Thereafter, our sessions will typically range from ½ hour to 1 hour on a weekly basis. I request that coaching clients make a minimum commitment of three months.
In choosing a coach, I recommend that you meet with several coaches in person to interview them and get a sense of their style and a feel for how you would work together.
Please feel free to contact me to discuss your coaching needs.
