Sexual Harassment Preventention

I have always viewed sexual harassment prevention as an extremely important area for employers to pay attention to, as it is one way to show concern and respect in regards to how employees relate to one another in the workplace. With proper training and consistently enforced policies, employees become clear about appropriate workplace boundaries.

An attorney by training, I have developed an expertise in the area of sexual harassment prevention trainings. This is a natural outgrowth of my previous involvement with domestic violence prevention and my current work in communication and conflict resolution.

Most recently, with the passage of AB 1825 in 2005 all California employers with 50 or more employees are required to provide sexual harassment prevention training to all supervisors. I have designed two hour and three hour sexual harassment prevention training sessions that meet the requirements of AB 1825. These sessions are interactive, fun and engaging for participants. I encourage employers to train both staff and supervisors on this issue as it is so pertinent in the climate of today’s workforce.
