Teambuilding
Teambuilding is one of many ways for an organization to promote group cohesion, trust and productivity. Typical teambuilding activities include reviewing individual members’ personality profiles, analyzing a group’s composite profile, role playing games and cooperative problem solving.
I consciously build teambuilding activities into all the work I do whether it be a group retreat, a group meeting or a staff training. When I am called upon to focus solely on team building, I use a variety of assessments, evaluations and exercises to help give a team different ways of thinking about their working relationships, group dynamic and vision. For example, I recently worked with a newly developed team over the course of three years in assisting them in understanding their team strengths, challenges, working styles and goals. We worked towards identifying their vision of leadership in order to decide upon their new team leader and determine the most effective way to provide that individual with support. With another organization, I trained directors on leadership and teambuilding so that they could strengthen their own departmental teams. As part of the series, I led them through visioning exercises and working style assessments.
Please feel free to contact me to discuss your teambuilding needs and how I can be of service in strengthening the cohesion, trust and productivity of your organization.
